We were up early and heading back to the same park as yesterday to get a run/walk in.
This little worm has been on the back door of the car for a couple days now.
He's just hanging in there.
A snake slithered across my path again this morning in the exact same spot as yesterday.
What are the odds?
People were out on the lake/pond with these remote control sail boats.
I didn't even notice the fountain yesterday.
After getting our activity in, we went back and checked out of our hotel room then found a spot for breakfast.
Sunnyside Cafe.
It was in a strip mall and we'd ridden right by it yesterday on the bikes.
It was gorgeous outside so we just had to sit out there.
My Honey.
Moi.
We shared an acai bowl.
We tried their cornbeef hash.
Jason had an omelet.
I had bacon and a biscuit.
There was an ice cream shop right beside the breakfast place so we had ice creams for dessert.
They had some interesting flavors.
I had the chocolate raspberry truffle and the roadrunner raspberry.
Jason had a mango.
We were just next to the beach so we walked over while we ate our ice creams.
Look at that place - I wouldn't mind living there.
Love the ocean themed mural.
My Honey and I.
I love the placement of this sticker - super cute.
We are heading to the west coast of Florida today, Tampa area but we decided to stop in Orlando at Disney Springs just so I could go to Gideon's Bakehouse for a cookie.
We had to take a picture of where we parked so we could find it later when we left.
You walk down some stairs from the parking garage and this is what you walk into.
Look at all the people.
We walked around until we found Gideon's and there was a big line up which was fine, until one of the workers came up to us and asked us if we checked into the virtual line yet.
We didn't know anything about it so she explained that you need to scan in, then sign up in a virtual line then we'd get a notice when we could come back and get in the line up.
At that point, they were booking for come backs at 5:30 which was hours away and we did not want to wait.
So we decided to skip Gideon's and just walk around and check out Disney Springs a bit.
It's like going to a Disney Park but you don't have to pay to get in and there aren't any rides but it looks cool and there are lots of shops and restaurants.
Even a hot air balloon.
I love that the trees are in bloom.
I love the water dragon.
Stitch.
I like the sign.
A floating car - it looks fun.
I think this was a restaurant.
There were people everywhere, it kind of reminded me of the things I did not like about Disney.
It's a very beautiful setting though.
They are good at creating these amazing worlds.
We saw a cookie place we decided to head there to get a cookie since we missed out on Gideon's.
Even their water bodies are beautiful.
After our cookies we just headed back to the car then headed towards the west coast and Tampa.
The traffic around Orlando is just insane so it took us way longer than expected to get there.
We actually ended stopping in another town, Lakeland, just to have a break from driving and to get something to eat.
We found this food hall call Joinery and went there.
Since there were lots of options, we picked a few things to try.
We had pizza.
We got a cucumber salad.
Then we also tried some bao bao buns.
They had outdoor seating so of course that is where we opted to sit.
My Honey.
All of the food was pretty good.
After we finished eating, we went back inside to get some ice cream at a spot in there that made their own ice cream.
I tried the Pistachio Peak.
And the Gillespie's Bourbon Pecan.
The Sun Bear Sesame Miso sounded very interesting so I had to try that one as well.
All of them were very delicious.
There was a lake in the center of town (it is called Lakeland) so we decided to go for a walk around it.
There were lamp posts all around it so it was lit up very well so it was very nice to walk around.
There were a bunch of plants in the lake and there were these birds swimming around in amongst them.
I've never seen birds like this before, we sat and watched them for a while.
Cool butterfly statue we saw in the park.
I love the palm trees.
It was just a beautiful area.
My Honey and I.
Another sculpture in the park - kind of strange looking.
There were swans with different designs around the park.
We came upon a marriage proposal - we thought we'd get to witness it but then they started taking everything down so we must have just missed it.
We headed back to the car and on the way we passed this little dog park.
So cute.
After our little jaunt in Lakeland, we continued on our way to Tampa where we'd booked a room.
We found our hotel and checked in.
They had an outdoor pool and I was going to hop in and go for a swim but it was way to cold.
So I just went back to the room.
Jason went to the gym to lift weights then we just had a quiet, chill evening.
Back home, the girls all went to a Taylor Swift cover band concert.
I almost got a ticket to go with them because I think it would have been fun until I remembered that we would be in Florida.
They had a good time and everyone enjoyed themselves so that's good.
That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
