Today is our last full day in Florida so I'm going to enjoy it to the fullest.
We went for a walk/run again to the same park we went to yesterday.
I have really been enjoying these morning walks.
I've been listening to this book, Look Closer and it's so good - I've been looking forward to listening to it every day and it finished up this morning.
After the walk we checked out of the hotel - before heading back to Orlando where we are spending our last night, I wanted to drive over and see....
Clearwater.
It should have only been about a 30 minute drive but because there was so much traffic it took over an hour and a half.
Eventually we made it though.
First thing was to get something to eat - we went to this restaurant right on the water, Salt Cracker Fish Camp.
Of course you know where we sat - in the outdoor seating area.
Feeling good today.
We got this seafood shower to share.
Then I ordered a lobster roll.
It was very good.
Jason had a fish dish.
After we ate, we walked over to Clearwater Beach - saw this cool seahorse sculpture along the way.
We made it to both Florida coasts this trip and both were lovely.
There were all of these blue hut things and I think they were just available for anyone to use.
There was a water station for cleaning off sand when you leave the beach.
I thought someone had made this starfish out of sand on this post but it was part of the post.
The sand was gorgeous, as soft and white as flour.
We went for a walk along the beach.
It was so nice - I wish I could have jumped right in but we are heading back to Orlando and I didn't want to be sandy and salty the whole drive.
I feel so fortunate that we get to see so many incredible places together.
Jason always tans up so nicely (and quickly).
Across the street from the beach are buildings and this was a mural on one of the buildings.
We came across another seahorse statue.
Cleaning my feet off after our walk on the beach.
We had to get back on the road because we were off to Orlando.
We googled it and it said it was about a 1 hr and 40 minute drive but it took us over 3 hours to get there.
We didn't stop anywhere, the traffic is just so insane - it's the one thing I don't like about Orlando and surrounding area.
We went straight to the other Gideon's location because I was still really wanting one of their cookies.
There was a short little line up - nowhere near what it was like in Disney Springs.
They have this dark academia esthetic to their shop and I love it.
We got three different kinds to try.
These cookies are humongous, as big as my hand.
This is the pistachio, chocolate chip - I had it last time we were in Florida and it was so good that I couldn't wait to try it again.
I did not disappoint.
Then we also tried the regular chocolate chip.
And then this was a new one for us, the Reeses Pieces one - it was really good but my least favorite of the ones I tried today.
After cookies, I wasn't quite ready to get back in the car and do more driving so we just walked around the area a bit.
Freya called us so we ended up video chatting with her for a bit.
She was showing us her dance moves.
We were playing around with filters.
She's such a little character.
We miss her so much - it's the most wonderful thing about going home is getting to see the girls - we really miss them when we are away from them.
We found this restaurant near by that had good reviews and an outdoor patio so we decided to eat there.
It was really nice inside - but seeing as it's our last night here, we really want to soak up the outdoor experience before we head back to the snow.
The inside was empty because everyone else was sitting outside too.
My Honey and I.
I had the Cacio e Pepe Bucatini

This dish is a celebration of pasta, Pecorino Romano cheese, and freshly ground black pepper.
Jason had the Penne alla Vodka

Penne pasta is tossed with Guanciale in a rich and delicious sauce made from vodka, heavy cream, and crushed tomatoes.
I'm not usually a big pasta person but for some reason I was craving it today and it was really good.
After we ate, we headed to our hotel room and spent the rest of the evening packing up our luggage and getting ready for our flight in the morning.
That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
