Off to Florida for a Week. (Feb.26, 2025)

We were up early this morning, Jason went to the gym at the hotel to lift some weights and I walked over to Tim Horton's to get us coffees.

I would have went for a walk while I was out there but it was just a sheet of ice everywhere.

We dropped the car off at Park2Go then headed to the airport.

It didn't seem that busy so we through security, I got myself a Starbucks then we sat and waited for our flight.

We had a short layover Toronto so we grabbed some salads - there weren't a whole lot of options.

It was late when we got in to Orlando.

We got our luggage and then we had to wait for a shuttle to take us over to get our car rental.
They made us get insurance because they said we didn't have some certain form to prove we had insurance which nobody has ever asked us for before and we rent cars often.
Our insurance covers us for rental so we always opt not to get it.

It was late and nothing else was open and we were stranded out there so we didn't have much of a choice but to take it - I think it ended up costing double what Jason booked it at.
I looked up the rules when later and discovered that there is no 'rule/law' in Florida that you have to prove you have car insurance and it's optional to get it on a rental car so she totally lied to us.
We will never rent there again that's for sure.

Then we headed to our hotel room and checked in.
We are only going to be here one night then I think we are going to head to Melbourne.

It had a desk/table situation.

The bed.

The bathroom.

We were both kind of hungry and it was late but luckily there was a Denny's right nearby that was still open.

I got a club sandwich and some fries.

It came with a lot of fries - they were nice and crispy - Jason shared them with me - we didn't eat all of them, just a few.

Jason got a couple chicken breasts with veggies - a fairly healthy option.
The food was just ok but it did the trick.

Then it was back to the hotel to hit the hay.
Looking forward to whatever adventures await us tomorrow.

I want to redo our bedroom and I love this color palette and really just the overall esthetic.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
