I watched some Call the Midwife this morning when I got up.
I had a nice, quiet morning, did some blogging - trying to make sure I keep caught up.
Jason found this great deal on yogurt the other night when we stopped in to get snacks for the hotel so he went back yesterday and stocked up.
Our fridge is now loaded and so I had some for a snack last night then again this morning with my eggs for breakfast.
I add cottage cheese to it to give it extra protein and it's really good.
I hopped on the treadmill around noon to get some steps in.
I managed to get about 8000 in before I had to stop and hop in the shower - I have a massage today at 2 with Crystal.
It feels so good to be getting back at it and doing something active again.
It was cold out (-17) but I decided to bundle up and walk down to my massage appointment and it was nice to get out into the fresh air.
Massage day!!!!
Always look forward to this.
See how happy I am.
The massage was great.
Crystal and I were chatting and she asked me if I noticed if my slipper was wet this morning which I actually did notice but I didn't really think anything about it at the time.
Freya and I were kind of arguing a bit last night because I bought her a new toy (3 giant rubber ducks) and when Zepplyn came over last night, she gave them to her.
I said she couldn't because I just bought them and she told me that I wasn't a kid and I didn't know anything about toys 😂😂😂
It kind of cracked me up a bit but at the same time I was kind of annoyed that I'd just spent this money and I didn't want her to just give it away.
I ultimately just let her do it - She's kind and generous and I don't want to knock that out of her and really, what does it matter.
But anyway, back to the slippers, apparently she purposely soaked my slipper in the water and was telling Crystal that I 'deserved it'.
I can't even believe that she thought to do that - what a kid.
Jason was out for a run and finished up and met me when I was finishing up too so we walked home together.
Everything is covered in hoar frost right now and it looks so pretty.
I love how our tree looks.
The neighbors tree is so pretty too.
My snowman hanging by the door even looks extra special with the hoar frost on it.
When I got home, I had some more yogurt and cottage cheese - we have a lot to get through.
Then I sat down and booked mom's flight home finally - I've been procrastinating on it a bit.
I found her a direct flight on January 18 so I'll have to run in to the city to pick her up.
Might go in the day before and get myself a pedicure.
Jason was working on his course in his office so I got to work starting to take some of the Christmas decorations down.
I took all the ornaments off of the tree.
Jason said he'd take it apart tomorrow and put it in it's container out in the garage.
It's supposed to warm up to -5 tomorrow so much nicer for being outside.
My plan is to work on getting the Christmas decorations taken down and packed away over the course of this week then next weekend I'm going to get downstairs and clean up the basement in preparation for Mom's return.
Jason slow cooked some pork so I made potatoes and veggies to go along with it for supper.
For dessert guess what I had.....Yup, that's right, more yogurt.
I sat down and booked the rest of our stay for Phoenix.
When I booked the trip, I just booked the flights, the car rental and the hotel for the first 3 nights.
The concert I booked tickets for is actually in Tucson so we'll head down their on Jan.31 and stay there for 3 nights before heading back to Phoenix to fly home and I hadn't booked anything for Tucson so I wanted to get that done.
Vacation will be here before you know it so I wanted to be prepared.
Anyway, that's all for today, until next time, be happy!
