Today is our last full day here in the Palm Springs area since we fly home tomorrow.
I'm so going to miss the heat.
It was pretty windy when we woke up this morning.
We headed over to the university park that we've gone to a couple times now for our final 5k walk of the trip.
Afterwards, we decided that today we would go back to Chef Tanya's and Project Burger today - our two favorite places we've been to this trip.
So Chef Tanya's it was for lunch.
The menu.
We had the Chupacabra Chick'n which we had last time and loved.
It was just as great this time.
We also tried the Pastrami Mami which I didn't enjoy as much but it was still quite good.
We also had their fries which were fantastic.
Then I just had to have another of their Scooby Dubai concrete's.
This place is so good, I would highly recommend to anyone, not just vegetarian's.
If I lived nearby, I would make it a point to try everything on their menu.
We found a new Hobby Lobby so we went in and shopped around a bit.
Eden would love one of these - if only I had more room in my suitcase.
Cute welcome mat.
Jason liked this print.
He has been thinking about making a pinata for Freya and when he saw this gnome decided it would be a good shape to make.
I ended up getting a few more journaling supplies while we were there.
We stopped at a few other stores to do some shopping, I wanted some hair cream and we ended up taste testing some olive tapenade on crackers at Trader Joe's that was so good that we bought some.
Then we headed back over to the park that we were just at this morning to have a picnic with it.
Jason was feeding the ducks some of our crackers.
It is so nice here.
I wish I could take this weather home with me.
Kind of a strange duck.
The sun was getting ready to set behind the mountains.
It happens really fast.
We went for one last walk around the park.
The palm trees are so pretty, it's such a nice, clean park.
Soaking up some last rays of sunshine.
After our walk and park at the picnic, we headed over to Project Burger for supper.
They give you water in the teeniest glasses ever.
How can I ever manage to drink it all?
Got a new sweatshirt, it's light weight and comfy.
I got the Blackend Burger again.
This burger is UH-MAZEBALLS!
I would fly to Palm Springs just to go get this burger.
Jason tried the Project 16 this time.
It had two project smash patties on a brioche bun, house aioli, American cheese, caramelized onions and bacon jam.
It too was a fantastic burger but the Blackend is still my favorite.
We did a little more shopping before heading back to the room to pack and get ready to fly home in the morning.
Our flight leaves at 10:45 so we don't have to be up super early which is nice, I hate those 6 am flights were you have to get up in the middle of the night in order to get to the airport on time.
Got all of my steps in for the day.
I've limped my Fitbit along for the trip, but I can't wait to get myself a new one as soon as I can when I get home.
That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
