Weigh In Day - Major Wake Up Call (July 21, 2025)

 Today is weigh in day.

I was 230 lbs.

That's up 3 lbs since last week.
Whoa!
I knew it was going to be bad but I am in trouble here, moving very quickly in the wrong direction.

I have got to get a handle on this.
I am calling it a Wake Up Call - a very loud one.

I made the effort to track everything in WW today - I know it works if I follow it so that's what I must do.

Jason sent me this picture of Freya snuggling with Hazel when she got up.

He had some dough in the fridge so he made a couple loaves of bread of which I will NOT be partaking.

Freya took her little buns out of her hair and it left a nice wave.

She's wearing the capris and sweatshirt we got for her at Walmart yesterday and it looks really good on her.

Jason also made a lower calorie version of salmon chowder for lunch.
It looks really good but I think I'll wait and have it for my supper.

I hopped on the treadmill on my lunch hour because it was cold and wet outside.
I ran 5k - it felt tough today so I started at 4.0 for the speed, pretty much stayed there most of the run, I did bump it up just a little for the last third I would say.

I was a sweaty mess but proud of myself for doing it.

The braids my sister put in for me have reached the end of their life cycle I think.

I stopped at Nadine's after work to help with a Cricut project - I haven't seen her in a bit so we had a little visit.
Then I went home and had a nice hot bath, got the braids out and washed my hair.

Then I planned on working on my blog but ended up watching a Netflix documentary and got sucked right in.

Amy Bradley is Missing

She went missing off of a cruise ship and was never found and nobody knows what happened.
What a terrible thing for her family and friends to have to live through.

It was really good and I enjoyed it - I do need to get to blogging though - I've let myself get way behind again then I just avoid it even more because it seems like such a daunting task to get it caught up.

Update on the cat saga.
We've had Professor Snuggles quarantined down in the basement away from Hazel so she doesn't attack him again.
We did put them both in cat crates yesterday and made them face each other and Hazel didn't seem to freak out at all - Snuggy did but I think that had more to do with being in the crate than with seeing Hazel.

Jason left the basement door open tonight and Snuggles came up - Hazel and he don't seem to be attacking one another but to be honest, I'm not sure that their paths have crossed yet.

I'm optimistic though and really want to get back to only one kitty litter box - having one in our upstairs bathroom is not ideal.

By bedtime there still hadn't been any incident so we are going to hope for the best and not quarantine anyone tonight.

Fingers crossed all goes well.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy.
