I kind of slept in this morning a little, I still got to work on time but it was a rush.
It is very quiet at work this week, lots of people on vacation.
That always happens in the summer though.
The weather is kind of crappy for summer - not very warm.
So I didn't want to run outside again.
Instead, I hopped on my trusty treadmill on my lunch hour and got a 5k run in.
It felt better than yesterday and I was able to move my speed up throughout the run.
I started at a 4.0 and ended at a 4.5.
I always feel so much better when I'm making an effort to be active and I've also been tracking my points on WW. This is day 2 and I'm seeing progress already.
It works if I just do it.
Porkloins were on sale so Jason picked up a couple.
One of them he sliced up and pounded out and made these thin pork 'chops'.
The other one he cut into chunks and cooked in the oven.
It made a lot so we'll have protein for days.
The afternoon was really quiet at work too - one good thing is that you get lots of work done.
I'm finally feeling caught up and I've been feeling so behind ever since we got back from PEI so that's good!
Jason made us cucumber salad to go along with the pork.
It was delicious.
Then Haylee dropped Eden off for us to watch for a bit.
She was working doing deliveries.
She can take Eden with her if she needs to but it isn't that much fun for Eden.
We took her for a walk over to Nadine's so I could drop off something I'd cut on the Cricut for her.
Jason pushed her over there on Mom's walker - she loves 'riding' on it.
When we got back to the house, Haylee came and dropped Freya off too - she'd been hanging out with Zepplyn but now wanted to come over.
She had some 5050 which is her and Jason's code name for spicy noodles, then she was munching on Taqui's.
Eden was having some Taqui's too - she likes to lick all of the spice off.
These girls can handle spice better than I can.
The cats all seem to be getting along ok thankfully.
We haven't been keeping them apart and theirs been a few little growls but no outright mortal combat so that's good.
Eden thought Hazel needed a little loving!
Awwww!!!
It was close to 10 by the time we got them wrangled up and took them home.
So after that it was pretty much off to bed for Jason and I.
That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
