I was up early today and after my coffee headed out for a run.
I'm not following any training plan for my half marathon training, I'm just going to try to run at least 5k every day then on the weekends I'm going to do a longer run and each week I want to just do more than the last.
Last week I did a 6.5k run so I just wanted to do more than that today.
I ended up doing 7.5k today which I was proud of.
The last 1.5k was a real struggle but I pushed through and it always feels so rewarding afterwards to do something that is so tough.
When I got home, I had a nice, hot, relaxing bath.
I love having Friday's off - I wish I had them all year long - it just makes the weekend seem that much longer and not so rushed.
Nadine came over to visit this afternoon to bring me some wallpaper she had that I was considering putting on my wall that my fireplace is on.
I'm feeling like I want to change it up.
She got this home decorating app where you take a picture of your house then you choose which style of decorating you like and it spits out a picture for you.
So we tried it out with my living room and this is what it spit out for Farmhouse style which is what I like.
I love, love, love the vertical shiplap wall and I think I might do that.
I really like the color too.
I'm also thinking of covering the beams that we already have on the ceiling with some wood just so they stand out more.
We tried it looking the other way in my living room.
It didn't change the beams to wood this time but it added shiplap to the ceiling and I love the blue couches.
I really like the wood tv stand too.
Mine is currently white but I think the wood just feels more homey and cozy.
Since we were on a roll, we did my dining room too.
I like the wood they added to the top of the curtains.
We also did part of my kitchen.
I love the color on the wall and I think I might do that as well.
I won't do shiplap but I'll just paint it a nice blue or sagey green color.
I also think I might so ahead and stain my cupboards with a different wood tone that I like better than what I have now.
So all kinds of projects to look forward to for the winter.
After supper, Haylee texted to say that Freya wanted to come over and she wondered if maybe Eden could come too.
Kody is away in Fort McMurray working - he's been there a couple days already and is likely staying there for a few more.
Of course I told her to bring them over.
I didn't have my phone for the rest of the evening so no pictures of the kiddos but we had a nice evening.
When Jason got home, he took Freya to the park for a bit and I stayed home with Eden who was about ready for bed.
I took her to bed around 9 because she seemed so sleepy - I had planned on getting back up when she fell asleep but ended up falling asleep myself so that was that.
Meanwhile, Freya was in the bathroom making videos on Jason's phone - her bedtime skin care routine, ha ha.
Jason only found them the next day but they were so cute - we just had to post them.
