Cows, Trampoline Park, Celebrity Sighting (July 8, 2025)

Jason was up early this morning and went out for a run the sent me back some pictures.

It looked a bit grey out there but it was still nice and warm.

Freya did end up in bed with us last night even though she started out bravely in the room she called as her own last night.
When I was packing up this morning to head out I found that she'd moved right in.
She hung a bunch of her clothes up on the rack in 'her room'.

She had even packed some of them away in the dresser.
So cute.

We stopped at the Haunted Mansion which was right next to us to go through it after we checked out.
They have live actors that scare you but they aren't there this early in the day, we decided to go through anyway and it's probably a good thing because Freya was frightened enough.
I don't think she would have enjoyed live actors scaring us.

We found a restaurant for some breakfast.
She had my phone the whole time so this was the only picture that I got.

Then it was off to Cows for an ice cream.
They have such good ice cream and I wanted just one more before we left the Island.

I got a double scoop of course.

I got the Messie Bessie

And the Gooey Mooey.

Jason did Strawberry Cheesecake

And Moo Crunch.
I don't think you could go wrong with any of the flavors.

They have cow merchandise which is normally cow themed plays on pop culture themes.

She picked this hoodie that just had a bunch of Island themed pictures - cow style.
We got Eden a hoodie too, it was a play on the cartoon character Bluey - a cow called Mooey.

Jason and I each got hoodies as well and we put them on so Freya could take our picture.
This was the first one.

This the second.
She was cutting Jason out on purpose just as a joke.

There were many tries.

But she finally took one with him totally in it.

Saw this on the fender of a car in the parking lot.

We wanted to take her to do something else in Cavendish - there are lots of family oriented activities - but she just wanted to go to another trampoline park so we found one in Charlottetown and we took her there.

It was a much bigger one that the one by Summerside and it was packed with kids.
It had this giant foam pit and Freya got right in there.

Lots of trampolines too - she did lots of bouncing.

She got some air there.

Jason did some jumping with her.

I was the photographer.

They had an obstacle course - Freya gave it a try.

Trying to make it across the foam pit.

Played a few video games.

Had a snack.

After working up a huge appetite, we went to Founders Market in Charlottetown for some supper before heading to the airport.

I got a biscuit at a place there last time we were here and it was so good, I was looking forward to getting another.

It's a neat place inside with restaurants and shops - unfortunately the biscuit place was no longer there.

Just another view.

We ordered a few different things like a slice of pizza.
We also got some fries, a vegetarian rice dish and a burger.

Freya approved.

After we ate, we found a spot to fill up our rental, dropped it off and headed over to the airport.

Freya taking a bunch of selfies at the airport.

What a goof.

Serious look.

Playing around with Papa.

While we were sitting there waiting, we could see these security vehicles heading to the runway then this small private plane land.

Of course that caught our attention.
There is a big concert in Cavendish every year with famous headliners and this year, Shania Twain is the big headliner and I am pretty sure this was her arriving.

Looks like she was letting her dog have a potty break.

That was kind of neat to see.

We watched until she got into one of the cars and drove away.
My big exciting celebrity sighting.

We flew out at 7:30 and it was a nice, smooth flight.
I did realize on the flight that I'd left my old tablet in the airport in Charlottetown.
I think it must have been all that Shania excitement.

I mentioned it to the flight attendant thinking maybe she could contact the airport - silly of me.
She said I'd have to call them when we landed.
We got in so late that the airport in Charlottetown was closed so I couldn't call.

It was super late when we got home to Swan Hills so we kept Freya with us for the night.
That is all for today, until next time, be happy!
