Doing It Even When You Don't Want To (July 24, 2025)

Yay, it's Thursday!

We get Friday's off in the summer (and I love it) so this is kind of like my Friday.

Nadine called last night and invited me out for lunch today so my plan was to get up early and get my run done.

Even though I went to bed fairly early last night, I had a hard time falling asleep so getting out of bed was difficult this morning and I just did not feel up to running.

So instead, I just went out for short walk  - it was nice out and it felt like a good way to get the day started.

I've been trying to get out for walks in the morning again - especially while the weather is nicer so I got that done.

Nadine and Cindy picked me up at 11:30 and we headed out to the golf course for lunch.

I had a taco salad - likely lots of points but very delicious - I enjoyed every bite.

I should have hopped on the treadmill as soon as I got home but instead I decided to do a puzzle.

I picked it up at the second hand store last weekend.

It was a 300 piece and it took me about an hour.

There ended up being a piece missing so that was kind of a bummer but that's the chance you take with a second hand puzzle.

I didn't really feel like it so it was hard to motivate myself but I forced myself to go downstairs and get on the treadmill.

I kind of talked myself into it by deciding to just go slow and just do a 3k - kind of a bargain with myself.

I went quite slow and I did end up doing 5k which felt good seeing as it was such a struggle to just get myself down there and get it done.

Haylee texted to say that Freya wanted to come over so she dropped her off.

We heard Jason pull up and park after work and everyone was excitedly waiting for him to make his entrance.

Freya wanted to go to the park so Jason took her.

I didn't really want to go so I skipped out but he sent me pictures.

He said this was the third park in town that they hit tonight.

When he took her home, he said Eden was thrilled to see her.

She ran over and wrapped her arms around Freya and was jumping up and down and laughing.

He said he could tell that it made Freya feel good - who wouldn't feel great about such a great reception.

She wanted his glasses - cool little dudette.

Yup - I definitely want to go in!
