Hunter & Alivia are Moving to Sparwood (Aug.18, 2024)

Kody had to go in to work super early today and Haylee was heading out of town to attend a concert overnight so she dropped both girls off to us quite early, right after 7 am.

We were actually still in bed when she arrived.

So we got up, had coffee and just hung out with the girls.

Freya kept asking for Hunter to come over so we invited him to come over.

When he got there, he told us that he was moving to Sparwood, BC.

His mom decided to move there with he and his sister.

I was so shocked and upset - and I'm sure my brother is as well.

I just couldn't get it off my mind all day.

It's 8 hours away so it's not likely we'll be seeing them very often after they move so they'll become like strangers and Hunter is my little buddy - I just have this soft spot for him.

We'll have to make an effort to get out there and visit him every couple months but it just won't be the same.

We took the kids for a walk and ended up at the park and Eden tried out the swing.

There's my little Hunty Wunty.

I love how she's just chilling with her arm up on the seat like she's so relaxed.

I love her little jeans too - they looked so adorable on her.

Just a swinging.

Already into the phone.

We stopped for ice cream before heading home.

I love Hunter's big smiles he gives when I ask him to pose for a picture.

Jason - he found these tank tops for a great price so tried them out for running and really likes them.

They look good on him too.

Freya was jumping from one cement block to another.

She's been doing this for as long as we've been coming to the store.

She can jump some of them alone now but some are a bit further apart so she still needs some help from Papa.

She doesn't really care if there's anything playing on the phone, she just likes to have it and it normally ends up in her mouth at some point.

Jason played the Gummy Bear song for her - she really likes that one.

When we got back home, I sanded back the pumpkins I'm working on a bit and glued on some stems.

Jason got the animatronic out that he just bought to put together.

Eden was helping him.

She's a great helper.

Kody got home later in the day and he said he has to go back out to work at 4 am and needed us to watch the girls again tomorrow so I said they might as well stay the night instead of him having to wake them up in the middle of the night to bring them over.

He did take Eden home for a couple hours though then brought her back just before bed time.

Freya had wanted Hunter to spend the night and he was going to but then he got sad about moving so Mel decided to keep him home for the night but I promised Freya we'd have a sleep over with him next weekend - she's going to miss him as much as I am I think.

They have such a sweet relationship.

I didn't get my steps in - April - get with the program!!!
