Well it is our last full day of vacation.
I always love our time away but we do miss our grandbabies terribly while we are away so we do look forward to getting home to see them.
We started our morning off with a dip in the pool.
Then even though it was raining, and pretty good too, we sat in the outdoor hot tub for a while and it was nice in the rain strangely enough.
Then we found a nearby spot to get some breakfast.
Margie's Dream.
Jason got their meat pie and it was fantastic.
I wanted the meatloaf omelet but they were all out of the meatloaf so I just had a ground beef omelet instead and it was quite good as well.
After we ate, we decided to go shopping.
There was a Marshalls and a Homesense nearby.
I got a bag for my travel journal supplies.
We got a few other things as well - Jason got a really nice sweater.
Then I was starting to get hungry so we went to get some soup at a spot down town Manchester.
This light fixture was so cool - this arm just sticking out of the building holding up the lantern.
I am going to miss the orange and red trees when we go home.
Cool mural on a building.
This is the front of the same building.
I loved this stone church.
A few more pretty trees.
I love how the vines climbing all over this building looked.
I should have gotten a better shot of the gorgeous red door too - it was amazing.
You can kind of see it in this shot.
This place supposedly has the best soup around.
I got the chicken rice - it was good.
Jason got the pumpkin corn soup.
Kind of weird, overly sweet.
I think it would have been better without the corn.
The soup was nowhere near the best we've ever had but whatever.
It feels like soup season.
Jason put a little printout of Freya's drawing on the bulletin board at the soup spot.
We had planned on staying in Boston tonight close to the airport but the hotels were outrageously expensive so we found one about 30 minutes away from Manchester in a town called Tewksbury.
It will be a 30 minute drive to the airport in the morning but we don't fly out until 10:40 so I think that will work.
I love this stone wall they had on the grounds of the hotel.
Jason went out for a run and I logged in to check on payroll then I also worked on the blog.
When Jason got back, we walked across the street to Cracker Barrel to get some supper.
I love looking around in the stores that they have, I want to buy everything.
We saw this giant peanut squishie that Freya would have loved but we got them lots already so we skipped it.
I had the pot roast dinner with baby carrots and green beans and it was very good.
Jason had the chicken and it was very good as well.
We cleaned out the car and got everything packed up and ready to go for tomorrow.
I think it's going to be close for me on my suitcase weight, hopefully I'm not overweight but I guess we will see.
That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
