Well we made it to the end of another vacation.
We've enjoyed it but we are looking forward to getting home and seeing the girls.
We left the hotel by 7 am, grabbed coffees then headed in to the airport.
We drove through the residential area of Tewksbury on our way out and Wow, we saw some gorgeous houses.
I realized that I lost my head phones while we've been here.
Must have left them in one of the hotel rooms.
I picked up a new set yesterday, they aren't as nice as the ones I had but they will do.
I finished up my book on the first leg of the journey from Boston to Montreal.
It was just ok, I give it like 3 out of 5 stars.
I think I'm just not a romance person.
I picked a new on to start, Mad Honey.
It is set in New Hampshire so I thought it was fitting.
So far, so good.
It's about a woman who takes her son and leaves her abusive husband.
Then when her son is 18, his girlfriend turns up dead and he is charged with her murder.
The mom is then struggling between supporting her son while a part of her is worried that maybe she doesn't know him as well as she thinks and maybe he has that violent side like his father.
We had a little bit of a layover in Montreal.
They have a really well set up airport, it's pretty slick.
We had time to have some breakfast then found our gate.
It was a 4.5 hour flight over to Edmonton.
We landed around 5 or so, picked up our car then headed over to Fort Saskatchewan.
Crystal, Haylee and the girls came in there today to go to some haunted houses they have there.
So we booked a room at the same hotel and we met them there.
We went to the first haunted house.
While we were waiting in the line up to go in, this creepy clown kept peaking around the corner.
Eden kept going over and looking at him then she'd run back to us, scared.
Then a minute later, she'd go back over to see him.
She was getting braver and braver.
The other girls were having fun too, getting scared and running away.
Then it was our turn to go into the haunted house.
Let's go get scared!
Freya loves getting scared.
Hiding behind mom's leg.

They had some good jump scares and some really great live performers dressed up and acted creepy.
Gory dinner.
Another creepy character.
We went through the basement of the house then up and out into the backyard.
The creepy clowns were out back and they had this circus music playing back there.
Out back, they had some clowns and other characters., they did a little jump scare to us.
We weren't sure how Eden was going to do, we were worried she'd be scared but she loved it.
She wanted to go back and do it again immediately.
They had all these dolls on the stairs by the house.
It was ok, fun for the kids.
There was a second haunted house that we went and checked out.
I didn't actually go in but the others all did.
They said it was better and there was live performances going on there, they sat and watched it for a little.
I could hear it from the car.
Back at the hotel, we went down to the pool.
I was tired and cold so I skipped the pool and just watched and took pictures.
Jason was throwing Freya into the water so of course Eden wanted to do it too.
So he threw her up and caught her a few times - the girls just love that.
Freya is a good big sister, she was keeping a close eye on Jason while he was throwing Eden.
Jason said he was going to take Eden down the slide and no way was Freya letting that happen, too scary for Eden she said.
She let him throw her up but was watching to make sure he caught her.
Freya's turn again.
She loves it.
Zepplyn was trying to get Eden to jump to her but she'd jump right over into Crystal's arms which was so funny.
Zepplyn kept trying though.
Freya was climbing on Jason's shoulders then jumping off.
SPLASH.
So of course, Eden wanted to do that too.
There she goes.
We stayed there right until the pool closed at 10 pm.
I was feeling guilty that I didn't get in with them, but we'll go again in the morning and I'll join them then.
We ordered pizza and wings for supper and had it delivered to our room.
Both girls were going to sleep in our room with us but at the last minute, Eden decided she wanted to sleep with Mom so we just had Freya.
Which was fine, I was so tired, I was happy to get to sleep.
