Thirty Minute Run (Feb.5, 2026)

The weather was really nice again today, double digits.

Everything is melting.

It feels like spring is here.

I'm sure we'll have lots more of winter yet but I enjoy all the great weather we get.

It was nice enough to walk at lunch but I really wanted to run today and I knew I wouldn't run outside so I hopped on the treadmill.

I started off thinking I would do a 10 and 1 run (10 minutes running followed by 1 minute walking then repeat).

But when I was getting near the first 10 minute mark, I thought maybe I could 11, then maybe 15 and then when I did that and It wasn't horrible, I thought why not just run for the full 30 minutes.

So that's what I did - I actually ran 32 minutes and it felt great.

That's the longest stretch I've run in a very long time.

I feel like I'm making progress - proud of myself.
Driving back to work in the nice weather I just had this feeling like I can't wait to get out and go for a run outdoors.

After work - Jason headed outdoors for a run and I still needed some more steps so I went back down to the treadmill and walked for a half hour and watched some more Everwood.
Jason had a massage booked with Crystal today and she called to cancel his as well.
She said she thinks she's getting worse instead of better.
Jason asked if she needed anything and she really wanted some citrus so he took her over some fruit and some medicine.
He's so thoughtful.
I feel bad for her, I hope she starts feeling better soon.

Jason cooked some beef for us for supper.
We had it with instant mashed potatoes.
The Idaho mashed potatoes are actually really delicious.

Kody brought the girls over for a visit, Zepplyn was there and she came too.
Zepplyn looked like she wasn't feeling the best either but she said she was fine.

Freya found her lego set that has been sitting on top of the fridge and rediscovered her love for it.
She built this 'house' and then put it on the shelf in the living room to display it.
She said she had a great idea - this wall in the living room could now become her Lego display wall.

Eden was just on fire tonight - she was just into everything.
Making a big mess too, we gave her goldfish, she dumped them on the ground.
The phone wasn't streaming fast enough for her so she chucked it on the floor.

She was just being so silly and funny.

I took Zepplyn home around 9 and Kody came and got the girls around 9:30.
There is no school tomorrow - they had wanted to spend the night but Jason wants to head out for a run in the morning.
He told them they can stay tomorrow night so they were ok with that.

Got all my steps in.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
