Lake Walk and Mini Golf (Feb.16, 2026)

When I got up this morning, I decided to head out for a walk.

I drove over to Lake Banook, I always used to walk there when I lived here - it's changed some since I lived here, they've added to it.

Right near the beginning of where I started walking, I came across this tree that looked to be a memorial to people's pets.

I thought that was really nice.

Next up was a snowman with a rubber duckie hat.

It is really such a nice place to walk - I wish this path went around the whole lake but it doesn't seem to.

The lake is frozen over but it is still very pretty.

There is a spot that someone cleared for skating.
I did see a guy out skating on the ice.

I only did that once when I lived in Dartmouth but the ice made all of these cracking signs while I was on it which is normal apparently but scared the bejeebies out of me so I never did it again.

It was a little chilly at some points so I had to put my hood up but overall, it was a very enjoyable walk.
I ended up walking 6k overall.

Jason was out for a run too - he sent me this picture - he had some company on his run.
These two dogs ran along with him for quite some time - luckily they were friendly.

When I got back to the room, Jen and I got ready and went to Pur & Simple for breakfast.

She had a waffle with bananas and strawberries.

I had Ri Ri's coconut french toast.

I have the same thing every time I eat there and I love it just as much every time.

Jason sent me this picture he found of Freya - look how itty bitty she is.

After we ate, we drove to Easter Passage and picked the boys up and headed over to Halifax to do some mini golf.

It was all lit up with these neon colors, it looked so cool in there.

Ethan and Declan.

I really liked the artwork.

Jennifer.

The little characters all around looked so neat.

It was like a space age magical world.

Planning their shots.

Declan ended up being the only one who got a hole-in-one.

Jen and her boys.

This one section had all of these knights all around - looks cool.

Ethan

We did all make a few good shots and some not so good shots too.

The boys and I.

I really enjoyed the mini golf - I'd go do it again.

Ethan was the winner in the end but fun was had by all I think.

The boys wanted 'meat' for supper so we went to Montana's for supper.

Jen and Declan.

Ethan and I.

It took a very long time to get our food and then it was just ok.
Afterwards, we stopped at Dairy Queen so the boys could get blizzards then we took them home.

Then it was back to the hotel to pack as we fly out first thing in the morning.

Got all of my steps in.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
