Summer Activities with the Girls in Whitecourt (July 31, 2025)

The fairy friendship continues.

Ivy left another note for Freya in the fairy house at the park.

Freya was so excited to find it.

Ivy leaves such sweet message for Freya.

Freya checked the fairy house in the tree and there was a note there too.

Ivy is such a sweet fairy.

They went to the store for a treat and she picked Oreos.

Jason made a little table, chairs and a flower vase for Ivy's house.

When I got home from work, we took the girls to the splash park in Whitecourt.

So just enjoy a bunch of pictures of the girls running around the splash park.

Freya loves hanging off things.

Eden is almost too big for Freya to be picking up.

She loves it though.
She's a good big sister.

Waiting for the bucket to tip over.

Still waiting.

The water turned off somehow and so it never did tip over.

So we found something else to do.

Playing in the four square box.

Having a little snack.

Sitting in her sister's stroller to have a snack.

Then we went over to the big giant bouncy pillow/pad thing.
I'm not really sure what it is even called honestly.

There were a bunch of kids on it so I was kind of nervous that she might get knocked over but she didn't.

Freya stuck really close to her the whole time.

Jumping, jumping, jumping.

The kids were all loving it.

I've been on one before and they are quite fun.

Sliding down the side of it was fun too.

Eden thought it was funny.

So they did it over and over.

It was hard to get them out of there but eventually we did.

Jason and Freya went and played in the park for a bit and Eden and I went back over to the blanket to check on our stuff and have a snack.

Eden was playing around in the blanket and being silly.

I was enjoying just watching her.

I was enjoying soaking up the sunshine too.

I got the girls each a matching outfit - it looked so cute on her.

Then it was time to pack up and get ready to go.

Freya wanted to go to Boston Pizza for supper.
Eden fell asleep on the way over there so Jason sat in the car with her and I took Freya into the restaurant.
Jason was going to come in when Eden woke up but we finished eating before they had a chance.

Back at the house, Jason made us pizza for supper.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

A Fairy Friendship Begins (July 30, 2025)

Jason wrote a letter to Freya from a fairy called Ivy.

Here is the note.

All packaged up.
He stopped in at the park on his run this morning and put it in the fairy house.

Then he took Freya down to the park later and she checked out her fairy house.

She was so excited to find a letter addressed to her.

I hopped on the treadmill on my lunch hour - I took a picture of the time on the treadmill but it disappeared the way it sometimes does.

Trying on Papa's hard hat.

After work I made a puzzle.

Jason made another fairy house - this one he hung out in our tree and he put lights all over it.

That is all for today, until next time, be happy!

Plastic Surgeon Appointment (July 29, 2025)

I took the afternoon off today so I could take Freya into the city.

She had an appointment to see a plastic surgeon for the lump on her finger.

Kody is still in Fort McMurray and Haylee doesn't like driving in the city (plus she had to work as well) so I said I'd take her.

This is the lump - it's kind of hard to see in the picture but it is very obvious when you look at her finger.

It is quite big - it doesn't hurt her but it could become a hindrance.

Just another view of it.

Hanging out in the waiting room while we are waiting for our appointment.

When we saw the plastic surgeon, he said that it was a ganglion cyst which is a fluid filled sac.
It isn't anything serious so he recommended that we don't do surgery for now.
He said kids get them often on their fingers and hands - and they often hit them or knock them and they break on their own.
He said he wanted to see her in 2-3 months but if it gets bigger or starts to hurt her, that we should bring her back right away.

We stopped at Crumbl and tried a few cookies.
We got a snickerdoodle, a strawberry cheesecake, a birthday cake and a lemon drop.
They were all good.

We stopped at Walmart for a few things and Freya got a penguin face mask.
She had to put it on as soon as we got in the car.

We ordered a pizza to take home for supper.
We stopped in at Marshalls and I got the girls matching outfits.
I can't wait to see them on them.

When we got home, Jason sent me this picture.
He'd picked Eden up from Crystal and took her to the store for a walk and an ice cream.

She loves these little bottle candies too.

Freya went swimming at the pool here in town last night and afterwards in the changing room, she slipped and fell off of a bench.

She got a pretty crazy bruise on her leg.
She said it really hurt - I would guess so.

After Jason brought Eden home, he took Freya down to the park.
I got her this little dress/short set - it looks super cute on her.

While they were down at the park, Jason and Freya built a little fairy house while they were at the park.

Freya thought it was so neat.

This is the little house.

Freya put some of her sugar candy down for the fairy that lived at the house.

They stayed down there pretty late.
Both girls are spending the night.

I was falling asleep so I took Eden to bed.
It took a long time for her to settle and fall asleep.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
