Broken Yolk, Pinkbox Donuts, Atomic Golf, Cosmopolitan Food Court, Cirque Du Soleil O (Sept.1, 2024)

Jason went out for a run again this morning and I went to the gym again.

This time I did 1 minute run and 1 minute walk.

The stats.

Got 'er done for another day!

After we changed and showered, we walked down to a restaurant down by Fremont for breakfast.

It was called the Broken Yolk.

There were tons of options on the menu and it looked really promising.

Moi.

Still working on covering up the Farmer's tan.

Moi.

I had lemon pancakes with blueberries.

Jason had jalopeno eggs benedict.
The food was just mediocre which was kind of disappointing.

We did notice the Donut Hole which we've seen on several Vegas food vlogs was just down the street so we thought we'd treat ourselves to a donut after breakfast but it was closed.
Next time.

We walked around down by Fremont street.

Love the monkey climbing up the building.

Heart full of locks.

We took a walk through Container Park.

The giant preying mantis at the entrance - it shoots out flames.

There was some live entertainment in the park that we stopped to watch briefly.

Another amazing mural.

We walked over to Fremont.

It is rather fabulous.

There are always people dressed up in different costumes that you can take pictures with - I've never seen this King Kong costume before.
The person inside must have been on fire it was so hot out.

We stopped in at Pinkbox donuts to get a treat since we kind of had donuts on the brain now and they had so many options to choose from, here are just a few that looked good.

The Kitchen Sink.

John Lemon.

Hot Dawg

Sup Shorty.

Some Pooh's.

I had The Kitchen Sink - it was too much sweet on sweet.

Jason had the John Lemon which was far better (we'd had it before so we new it was good).

We stopped back at Dragon's Alley coffee for a cold drink.
It wasn't as good as the Ube drink I got here the other day but still good enough.

We sat out in their outdoor seating area to drink and rest as we'd been walking for quite some time.

They artwork they had on display in Dragon's Alley was all for sale.

I really liked it.

I like the 'big eye' girls.

A totally different esthetic - liked it too.

This piece was huge.
The coffee shop is attached to a restaurant in the back there and there was karaoke going on back there.

I like when they take electrical boxes and things that would normally be eyesores and paint them.
The under the sea motif on these three was cute.

Atomic Golf opened right next door to The Strat, kind of like Top Golf and I've been wanting to try it so we stopped in to give it a go.

Jason's up.

There were a bunch of different games you could play and it took us a bit to figure it out but we finally did.

April won the first game (totally a fluke).

It is a gigantic space inside.

We played for an hour - you can order food but we didn't, we just played.
Jason was just whacking the balls - he's really good.

I kind of tuckered out near the end, I couldn't hit it far enough to make it count and I kept trying and trying until finally I just let Jason hit balls until our time was up.
I did really enjoy it though and would go back again either just Jason and I or with a whole group.

We decided to go back down the strip again so we hopped on the monorail - I love that it passes by the Sphere.

Jason making faces again - what a goofball.
I love him.

He was making me laugh out loud for real.

We ended up stopping in at the food court in the Cosmopolitan for something to eat.

I went to Bang Bar by Momofuku.

I got the rice and pork dish, I've had it before and it is just so dang good.

We sat in the same booth we always sit in when we go there - guess we are going to start calling it our booth.

I was excited about my food.

I would have given two thumbs up but I had to hold my phone/camera with one hand.

I also got the chickpea dip with pita as a side and it was delicious as well.

Jason got hot chicken from Hattie B's.

He got the fried pickles as a side.

And the hot chicken sandwich which is way too hot for me - just not enjoyable but he really likes it.

Then we started walking over towards Caesar's, we had tickets to go see Cirque de Soleil's O there tonight.
We could see the fountains going off in the distance.

It was busy - I guess it is the weekend and it's a long weekend to boot.

It just love being here, the weather and the vibe - all of it is wonderful.

Selfie with the fountains.

So beautiful.

Always so much to see.

Planet Hollywood.

I don't think we've ever walked down these before, kind of outdoor hallways.

A view of the Paris.

Neat car we saw.

Made it to O.

We were kind of in the nosebleeds and those railings were right in our way - I thought they would annoy me but I forgot they were there in no time at all.

The show is ready to start.

There were so many acts and they were all amazing.

There are so many performers in the show.

The ground would keep opening up and there was a whole pool in underneath.

The comedic relief of the show.

These guys were jumping over and under each other to get into the water.
There timing is impeccable.

The did this whole act up on this floating ship.
The show was great but the Cirque shows normally are.

These are the costumes some of the performers wore in the show.

Haylee posted a picture of Freya preparing some flowers and raspberries.
I miss her so much.
As much as I'm going to miss this wonderful weather here in Vegas I'm certainly going to be happy to see her when we get home.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
