It's our last day in Vegas.
We fly home today but not until later tonight so we still have the whole day here.
Interesting paint job we saw on a truck this morning.
We took the car back this morning then we went back to the hotel, packed our bags and took them down to the bell desk so they could keep them for the day for us.
Then we walked down to Letty's in the Arts District for something to eat.
It's only a small restaurant but it's popular - it was busy.
Letty's.
We got the cactus fries again.
Moi.
Jason.
We got the pozole - it's very good but spicy and it builds up to a point that it gets too hot for me to eat.
Jason had beans and rice.
I noticed that they had chicharone on the menu so I ordered some to go - I wasn't that crazy about it, it was way too fatty for me.
This was our third time staying at the Strat and we've never gone up to the tower before so we figured we'd knock that off the to do list today.
This is looking down at the pool at the Strat.
This is the line for jumping off the tower if you are so inclined (I am not).
We did watch a couple of guys do it, later we saw them back up in the tower and I asked them how it was.
They said they loved it and wished they could do it again.
The views of the strip from up here are pretty amazing.
There's the sphere.
Just enjoying the view.
We had an ice cream cone.
You can go outside to check out the view as well.
My Honey and I.
There are a couple rides up there too.
This one.
It goes out over the edge then tips down towards the ground.
There is no way I would ever get on it.
Oh hell to the no!
I think this guy was wishing he never got on it.
After the ride finished, the couple that was on it asked if we had taken video of it - they said the guy screaming made the whole ride for them and they'd love if I would send it to them as a momento.
They said it really wasn't that scary , they'd also done the jump off the tower and the other ride which is kind of a drop ride on top of the tower and of all three, that was the scariest.
We decided to go and spend some time poolside.
We didn't have our bathing suits but I just sat on the side of the pool with my feet in the water.
I really wished I did have my suit with me, it was gorgeous.
There was a big game of volleyball going on.
The tower.
We laid on a couple of chairs and just soaked up as much of the sun as we could.
We stayed there right until the pool closed then we headed down, picked up our luggage and got an uber to the airport.
Check in was a breeze but our flight ended up being delayed an hour so we got into Edmonton later than expected.
We had planned on heading home but we were both very tired so we ended up just getting a room by the airport for the night and we'll head home first thing in the morning.
I saw these curtains online and I just thought they were so beautiful.
That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
