Family Day (Feb.17, 2025)

It might be a holiday today but it's also Monday so still weigh in day.

I was 223.4 lbs

That's down 1.6 lbs.

I've been following WW and tracking and I'm moving in the right direction.

Go me!

I got on the treadmill early to get it out of the way for the day.

I did both running and walking today - I feel like I'm making progress.

We took Freya home because they had some plans today and Eden was dressed and ready to go.

They met Zepplyn and Crystal at Swan Palace for some breakfast.
(Jason and I skipped  out because we'd already eaten and we are both trying to make healthier options)

Freya

Eden.

Then they all went to Whitecourt - the girls were going for manicures and then they were going to go swimming.
They invited us to come along - I skipped the manicure too.
I would have gotten a pedicure if I hadn't just gotten one a couple days ago.

Freya got a manicure - Jason tried to convince her to leave the nails like this - she wouldn't go for it.

Nails for days

She's growing up so fast.

That length looks better!

The finished product - they look cute.

She's happy with them.

Zepplyn got hers done too.

Just waiting for Haylee and Crystal to finish up.
Jason and I did go for a little walk around the block so I could get the few more steps that I needed and it was windy and the wind was bitterly cold so it was a super short walk.

Zepplyn's finished look.

Freya's finished look.

and Haylee's finished look.

We all went out for dinner afterwards to Soban which has sushi and stuff.

Eden had this little purple velour set on and it looked stinking cute on her.
Crystal got it for her.

She was all over the place - did not want to sit still.

She's always such a happy girl.

Miss Freya

Jason.

Zepplyn and Crystal.

After supper we headed over to the Allan Jean Millar center to go swimming.
Jason and I decided we didn't want to swim so we headed on home and had a chill evening watching so Dateline - we've been addicted to it again lately.

I found out later from Kody that they didn't even end up going swimming as the pool ended up being closed so they all just ended up going home as well.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

Cutest Granddaughters Ever (Feb.16, 2025)

I love getting up early on the weekends, making myself a coffee then just relaxing and watching a little YouTube.

After my two coffees, I went down and hopped on the treadmill to get my steps in.
I'm looking forward to the day I can go out and run but it's still too cold and icy and snowy outside for me.
I'm a fair weather runner.
I'm so grateful that I have the option of a treadmill.

I did a combo of running and walking but I did do quite a bit of running albeit it at a very slow pace but it felt great.

Some little visitors showed up just as I was finishing up.

I love it when they put her hair up in little ponytails - partially because it keeps it out of her eyes but mainly because she just looks so darn cute.

I may be partial but I think I have the cutest granddaughters.

She's got the moves.

She's always copying these things she sees on Tik Tok - she's trying to flip her eyelids up and her eyes back.
She's actually quite successful at a lot of the things she tries to do.

We spent the day just hanging out with the girls.
Kody did come later to take Eden home but Freya stayed and spent the night with us.

Tomorrow is Family Day which is a Stat for me and Jason is off too and of course there is no school so perfect opportunity.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

Lead by Example (Feb.15, 2025)

Jason went out for a long run this morning and Freya and I went and had some breakfast.

When he got back, he wanted to lift a few weights so Freya and I met him at the gym - she wanted to work out too.

She did some walking on the treadmill.

She's interested in fitness and running and working out so we want to encourage it for her.

The best way to do that is to lead by example.

She was copying all of the moves Papa was doing.

She kept showing me her muscles.

I love it.

Stretching it out after her workout.

I stayed to walk on the treadmill.
I did some running too - I'm slowly trying to get my endurance back.

Meanwhile, Jason and Freya got ready and went back for a little dip in the pool before we had to check out.

We stopped at a bakery for some coffee and Freya picked out a slice of cake for a treat.

Then she really wanted to go for ramen.

We convinced her to go to Kazoku Ramen instead of Hu's just so we could avoid having to drive all the way downtown.
They have really good ramen.

Jason made a post on Instagram - Freya eating ramen for one of the first times 4 years ago in the left corner then again today for comparison.
She is definitely a big fan.

We had to do a little shopping for some groceries before heading back home.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

Happy Valentine's Day (Feb.14, 2025)

I had to go to work this morning so Jason was on his own with the girls.

She likes this little chair that we had bought for Freya when she was little.

Jason found a new form of entertainment for her - banging on bowls.

I love it when she has little ponytails in her hair, it just looks so doggone cute!

Really getting into it.

Time for a bubba and a snuggle with sissy.

Freya having some Taquis for breakfast - such serious looks!

We have another noodle lover on our hands.

We just take the spicy noodles that Freya likes and rinse them off a bit for her so they aren't spicy and she just loves them.
She doesn't want to be fed either, she wants to do that all on her own.

Jason was packing (we are heading to the city tonight) and Eden was helping him.

Or maybe she was trying to sneak into the suitcase so she could come with us.
We didn't take her but I would imagine that in a year or so, she'll be joining us on our city trips.

Freya came to the city with us.
She drew a picture on the way in - I love how she does the eyes on her characters.

We went to the mall and she joined me for a pedicure.

Papa went and got her a boba drink.

She picked this pretty blue color.

I love getting a pedicure.

I always have a hard time choosing a color because there are so many options but this time I went with a really pale pink color with a little sparkle, you can barely see that it's there.

Papa let Freya get a bear at Build-a-Bear for Valentine's Day.

We checked into the hotel and got ready to go swimming.
We got her this Stitch bathing suit in Arizona.

Don't mess with these two!

They were doing lots of poses for me.

Chilling with her new friend.

When it was time to go to bed - she got Cinnamonbun all set up with a teddy of his own.

Then she let us know that she was sleeping in the extra bed by herself.
We got her a new blanket today and she snuggled up under that.

She actually stayed in the bed on her own all night to surprisingly.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
