Keyano Daze 2.0 (Sept.12, 2026)

Both girls woke up very early this morning which is unusual because they normally sleep in pretty good, especially Eden.

They were up late last night too.

Just a little morning wrestling.

Jason went out for a run and saw this fun game drawn on the sidewalk.

Freya wanted me to do her hair - she wanted pigtails then Eden wanted some too.
She rarely lets me do her hair so I was happy to do it when she asked.

She even let me put little bows in her hair and she had to try on Jason's glasses.
She's always doing this 'victory' signs in pictures now - I love it.

Theia was over and she wanted me to do her hair like Freya's too.

Today was Keyano Daze and they were having lots of activities at the community center in town so we took the kids down to it.

There was a petting zoo and that's the first place we went and checked out.
Eden went right in there - not scared of anything at all that one, she just on a mission, trying to hug all of the animals.

There were lots of animals like a little cow.

There were goats.

There were chickens.

Freya went right to the kittens and that's where she stayed the whole time that we were there.
She really wants a kitten, she's been wanting one for over a year now so she was so happy to just sit there and snuggle a kitten.

Eden sat with a kitten for a short time.

Lovin' up on a kitty.

Then she got another kitten.

She loved it!

She was petting the alpaca.

What she really wanted was a chicken though and she was chasing those poor things around the place.

Trying to catch a chicken.

She did finally get one.

So proud of her chicken.

It was so sweet.

She really loved the chicken.

She was carrying it around.
She'd let it go for a while then she'd run around to find it again and carry it around some more.

I love this picture Crystal took of her.

She did take some time to visit with and hold a little pig.

Meanwhile Freya never left her kitten.

Kittens are pretty cute.

She was smitten with the kitten.

Freya never left the kittens the whole time we were there.

Nor did Theia.

Back to the pigs.

Trying to escape.

Freya  eventually switched to new kitten but still did not leave them.

Now Eden was back to the kittens again.

She was entranced.

Snuggling her kitty.

She's found yet another kitty and this one was so teeny.

OMG - so adorable.

She was so happy!

Cute little alpaca.

He stuck by his mom the whole time.
I don't blame him, it was probably scary with all those humans around.

Eden and Theia didn't want to leave the kittens but we took Eden to do some of the other activities.
We too her to the tattoo booth.

She loved her little glitter tattoo.

Then to the bouncy castles.

WHEEEEEE!

Peek a boo.

They had three different bouncy castles there.

Lots of fun for the kids.

Went back to check on Freya and she still had her kitty.

Crystal got a great picture of Freya with the little grey kitty.

Morgan and Kalem had brought Whitney down and she was holding a kitty.

Kody met us down there when he got home from work.
Freya tried her darndest to get him to let her buy a kitten.
He held strong though.

She met the dinosaur - she met him last year too.

Trying to figure it out.

Getting her face painted.

She wanted to be a unicorn.

Cutest unicorn I've ever seen.

I love this picture Crystal got of her.

Crystal and Zepplyn popped down there too.
They had a Thai food truck so we ordered some dumplings and pad thai.

Eden loved the dumplings.

There were a bunch of wasps around which was kind of annoying but we persevered.

Jason left because he had to run out to the golf course and cook up some steaks for the guys out there - the oilman's golf tournament was going on today.

He picked some flowers before he came home.

Pretty sky.

Freya made a little beetle house.

Then she made a sign for it.

When Jason got back from the golf course, he played with the girls outside and I decided to work on a puzzle.
Jen came down, she got there around 6:30 and helped me with the puzzle until 7:30 then we headed over to the Keyano Center.
There was a dance going on there tonight for Keyano Daze and I had volunteered to work at the door and Jen came to sit and help me out.

Mission Possible's mascot, Monty Moose made an appearance.

Unfortunately, there was a poor turnout at the dance so it was slow but Jen and I got a chance to visit.
By 11 we kind of figured that everyone who was coming was there so we weren't really needed and we just headed home.

Jen helped me finish up the puzzle when we got back to the house then we visited until bed time.

Got all my steps in.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
