Yard Sales and Celebrating Jason and Whitney (May 23, 2026)
My wrist was bothering me this morning - it woke me up super early to take some pain meds and just ended up staying up.
I am still wearing the splint although I do take it off to wash my hands and sometimes in the evening I take it off and just sit with my arm resting on a pillow to have a break.
I guess I will have to go back to Emergency again to find out if it is healed enough for me to ditch the splint and start doing some physio.
Freya got up around 8:30 but Jason and Eden had a dandy sleep in, I think it was after 10 when he got up and Freya went in and woke Eden up after 11.
She insisted on wearing her dress to be and didn't want to change out of it today either.

Hunter's birthday is today so Freya, Eden and I called him to wish him a Happy Birthday.
The internet wasn't working well this morning so the call kept dropping but we managed to talk for a short time.
This is Yard Sale weekend in town - a bunch of people were having them.
I had the map and so I went out this morning and checked them out.
I was on the hunt for puzzles - I didn't find any.
I did get a kitchen set for Eden and a few other random things.
It took me about an hour then when I got home, Freya and Theia wanted to go check them all out so I went out for another hour with them.
The girls were in and out of the house all day.
Not only did we have Eden, Freya and Theia but Eliza, Revlyn and Luke also came over.
When the yard sales were all over, a lot of people put their leftovers at their curbs for garbage pick up and the kids went collecting all these 'treasures' and were bringing them to me.
It was kind of sweet.
We are having everyone over to celebrate Jason and Whitney so we did some house cleaning.
Even though Jason is the birthday boy he cooked supper.
He made some cheese pizza.
Tricia and Gilles are Vegetarian so we wanted to make sure we had options for them.
Gilles was sick so didn't end up coming but Tricia appreciated it.
Of course he made a couple pepperoni pizzas too.
Then he also cooked up hamburgers and hot dogs.
Jen brought macaroni and potato salad with her.
We invited Crystal and Randy over too because the more the merrier right?

Morgan shared some news with us all today - She and Kalem are expecting again.
She is due in November so that was very exciting.

Morgan had her hair in two little pigtails - it looked so cute.
I was trying to get a picture but it was hard with the sun shining in causing a glare.
Kody got there late - he had driven to Red Deer today to look at a truck but it ended up being a dud.
Eden got Uncle Rob to go outside and play with her.
She might have him wrapped around her finger.
She was calling him 'my Robbie Dad' - ha ha, so cute.
Whitney was enjoying the kitchen set.
I thought it was a great deal for $40 bucks.

She made a strawberry desert with whipped cream, strawberries and a strawberry mousse. it was so light and refreshing and delicious.
I loved it.
Everyone really liked it.
Everyone hung out until nearly 9 pm - we played trivia videos on You Tube, it was fun.
Then it was chill time.
Eden ended up falling asleep on the couch cuddled up next to Freya.
Jason took her to bed after about 20 minutes and she didn't make a peep, slept right until morning.
