I woke up early so I made myself a coffee and then sat down and did another puzzle.
This was only 300 pieces - I got it yesterday at the second hand store.
It was a fun one.
Found by Jason while out for a run this morning.
Freya was dancing at 1:15 today so we headed into St. Albert around 11.
We stopped at Starbucks and ran into Crystal, Haylee and the girls there.
They were heading to dance - they have to get there early to get ready.
Jen and I made a few stops but got there in plenty of time to see Freya perform.
Her group was doing a hip hop routine - I always think those ones are fun.
No photography is allowed during the performance which kind of sucks.
They got gold for their performance.
We made sure to get team pictures afterwards.
One with Miss V.
They got flowers.
Freya was so nice and shared hers with Eden.
The faces this kid makes crack me up!
Haylee and Crystal were going to do some shopping and the girls were supposed to go home with Kody but they wanted to come with me.
I was planning on stopping in Barrhead to go to Emergency at the hospital and get my cast off.
I wasn't sure how long it would take and I didn't want the kids to have to sit there for hours so Kody met me there and picked them up.
Freya took some before pictures of my cast.
So long to this thing.
The girls artwork.
My fingers have been squished together like this for 6 weeks now, I'll be so happy when I can move them again.
It's go time.
She said there is a special guard on the saw that makes it stop immediately if it touches skin.
It felt sooooo good to get it off but I was surprised at hoe lame my arm/hand felt and looked.
Still quite swollen and i couldn't even lift it or anything.
The nurse that took it off was surprised at how stuck together my fingers were and how kind of folded my palm was.
It was so gross.
They let me wash it and the skin just kept rubbing off.
They took an xray - she wanted me to make a fist but I couldn't.
The doctor looked the x-ray over and said that it was healing correctly but not healed enough so he had to put a new cast back on for a couple more weeks.
Bummer!
He told me to take Calcium and Vitamin D as well to help the bones heal.
Kody had dropped the girls off to Jason at our place.
Theia came over and he took the girls to the park.
Eden found a puddle to run through.
Then she found a great stick!
Hopscotch.
They love playing at the skate park.
Sliding down the ramp.
Just running around and around and around.
Sliding down the ramps at the skate park.
They were getting cold so Jason asked if I would come down and pick them up.
Crazy driver (we were parked).
I picked her up this dress at Winners, when I showed it to her, she wanted to put it on right away. - She loved it.
It does look super cute on her.
The way Hazel was sitting in the basket looked so funny.
Freya ended up going to Theia's for a sleepover but Eden stayed with us.
I wasn't paying attention and missed my step count for the day and by such a small amount to.
That was silly of me.
That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
