Protecting the Neighborhood. (Apr.17, 2026)

It was so quiet at the office today, I think it was just John and I there.

Jason had Eden there and then Freya had come over with some of her friends.

When I got home for lunch, the kids were all standing in the big picture window animatedly pointing across the street.

I had no idea what they were pointing it, they all went running to the door and were telling me they could see a black hand in the car across the street.
I couldn't see anything but they were determined.

Jason suggested they all go over to check it out.
They all got forks for weapons and then this serious looking crew was ready to be off and defend the neighborhood.

Jason got a rolling pin - the kids were a little scared I think so they wanted him to join their mission.

Eden with her little tongue sticking out -so cute!

So spoiler alert, there was no black hand in the car over there.

The kids did have fun outside.

I was a nice day - I do believe we have finally made it to spring.

Crystal and Haylee were going to see a medium in Whitecourt tonight so they invited me to tag along.

Jennie Ogilvie - I'd never heard of her before.
The tickets were 79 bucks but I figured it would be a fun time so I went.

She did kind of readings for different people in the audience.
I don't know how much I believe in this kind of thing but it was entertaining.
She offered some of her insights on death and living and regret - I thought she had an interesting perspective.

This is a picture Jennie posted on her own website after the show.
You can actually see Crystal, Haylee and I in there.

The show was about 2 hours, afterwards, we headed back to Swan Hills.

Back at the house, Eden was spending the night again at our place, Freya was sleeping at Theia's again.

She wanted to play her favorite game again.
Eden's birthday.

It's her favorite game.

She's mesmerized by the flame.

Blowing out the candles again and again.

So cute.

I didn't get all my steps in today.
I could have done it when I got back from Whitecourt but I just didn't feel like it so it is what it is.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy.
