We were up early this morning and drove out to our nice trails that we found.
Javelina Canyon Trailhead
It's still amazing to me to see a cactus 'in the wild'!
Jason is off for his run - I'm looking forward to my walk - it's a great opportunity to listen to my book, Four Winds, which is so good.
It's a completely different kind of terrain than what I'm used to back home.
But it has it's own charm for sure.
Once I got to the top, there was a nice view of the city.
Jason took this picture, he has such a good eye.
After our walk, we found a spot to go have some breakfast.
Over Easy.
It was nice and bright in the restaurant.
My Honey.
He had a veggie omelet with avocado and hash browns.
I had this protein pancake that had berries and nuts in it and it was UH-Mazing!
I loved it so much.
It filled me right up though, I couldn't finish it all and I was kind of bummed about that.
After breakfast, we went back to the hotel and went for a swim.
The water in the pool was cold to get into but once you got accustomed to it, it was really nice.
We had the whole pool to ourselves.
The hot tub was right next to the pool.
After we had a bit of a swim in the pool, we sat in the hot tub for a bit.
Again we had it all to ourselves.
Posing for me.
We were out and about in the afternoon and did some shopping.
We stopped at a bakery and shared a slice of raspberry cheesecake pie - it was delightful.
Jason found this Mexican restaurant with good reviews for supper, Comida Mexicana.
It was very busy so we took that as a good sign.
Waiting on our food.
My Honey.
Moi!
We got pozole to share the I got the birria taco and Jason got a burrito.
Our order.
The food was really great and reasonably priced as well.
I love it seeing posts from back home when we are away.
Haylee and Freya.
My boy.
Haylee and Eden.
Eden.
Eden.
I love the two little piggie tails.
Freya.
Zepplyn and Eden.
Ha ha.
We were back to the room early, around 8:30 - it was just nice to chill for the evening in our room.
That's all for today, until next time, be happy
