I had to be back to the curling rink for a game at 9:30 this morning.
Thankfully I was feeling much better than I have been for the last few days.
We were losing badly so after the 5th end, decided to just play back the 6th end then call it quits.
Bonnie called to say that Sharon was coming in to town for a funeral and wanted to meet for lunch.
Jason and Freya came to pick me up from curling - they had watched the end of our game then came upstairs to visit for a bit.
Freya is a little social butterfly, she loves to be around people so she loved it.
We did go pick Eden up and take her to lunch with us because Haylee was going to the same funeral Sharon was.
Shennelle came as well.
It was nice to catch up with Sharon and I hadn't seen Bonnie and Shennelle for a few days either.
I had a club sandwich and it was really good.
I had another game at 2:15 so after lunch, Jason dropped me back off to the rink and took the girls home.
Freya tried out my heatless curler.
She had as much luck with it as I did.
Jason said she hadn't wanted Eden to come over but as soon as she got there, she was being sweet to her and playing with her and just loving up on her.
She also did Eden's hair.
Very serious about her work.
She put a LOT of ponytails in there.
It looked cute.
We lost our third game of the bonspiel, quit after the 5th end again.
So we are out.
We've never curled that badly in a bonspiel before and lost every single game.
I don't know what was up, usually we are decent curlers.
Jason and the girls came to pick me up and Freya really wanted to come upstairs and visit with everyone again so they did for a bit until the girls started running around then we left.
I went home with them but then headed back to the curling rink for the supper and because they were doing some raffles and I wanted to buy some tickets to support the club.
Dinner was good, we had pulled pork, chicken and ribs with macaroni salad and roasted cauliflower & brussels sprouts.
There were all kinds of treats and desserts that people had brought as well.
I didn't touch any of it last night but tonight I sure did.
Jason had mad a peanut butter pie for me to bring - one of the ladies from out of town tried some and was asking who brought it.
Someone else answered that it was my husband that had made it and she said in disbelief "Someone's husband made this? You better never let him go"
Which I never will and his wonderful cooking is the least of the reason's why.
I hung out and visited with everyone and it was actually quite nice.
I got to catch up with my old boss, Rose who I don't get to see that often.
After supper and before the final games they did some chuckwagon racing down in the rink.
There were two horses, one on either side of the ice and they were hooked up to 'chuck wagons'

It was fun to watch, only a few people volunteered to do it, unfortunately and Kim but a lot of work into it so Kelly and his son Jessie raced each other for the final.
The final games all went 8 ends, the A event tied up in the 8th so had to end up playing a 9th end so it was late when that ended.
They did all the awards for the winners.
Our team came in absolutely last place with only 12 points so we got an honorable mention.
We also got these sweet hats and a chance to pose with the mascot of the bonspiel, Marshall.
Then they did door prizes and finally the raffle draws.
I did win the Keuring Duo which I really wanted although, we rarely make a pot of coffee so I'm not sure why I wanted it so much.
Anyway, it was after 12:30 when that all finished up.
I gave a couple of the girls (Steph & Janelle) a drive home then it was 1 am on the dot when I crawled into bed with Jason and the girls.
It's been a long time since I was out that late.
I just managed to get my steps in luckily because I didn't even think to check it and it was after midnight when I went to bed so if I'd missed my goal, I would have been totally out of luck.
That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
