Decorations are Up, Tree is Lit (Nov.24, 2024)

The girls both went home last night so as soon as I got up this morning I got right to work decorating.

I didn't put out as much as I normally do but I love how it all looks.

So here are some pictures of everything.

I always like to light candles when I'm done cleaning and ready to relax.

Got this wall done again but this time with Christmas stuff.

I think it's a bit subdued compared to other years but I like it.

I normally put greenery along the tops of my curtains but I have new curtains on the way so I left it off this year.

The JOY banner is another leftover from the craft fair that didn't sell but I like it so lucky me.

I think next year I'm going to buy new wreaths for my cupboard doors - the ones I have are just cheap ones that I got at the dollar store - I saw nicer ones at Hobby Lobby for dirt cheap but I didn't think to pick them up at the time.

I ended up having the girls over later in the afternoon but I was mostly done decorating by then so it was ok.

I kept another banner and put it up over the pantry.

I got all of our stockings from our childhood hung up.
I like having these memories around.

I picked up this JOY sign at Hobby Lobby and just added it to this wreath.

Got my Christmas shower curtain up.

Jason spent most of the day out putting the new lights on the tree but he came in to help with the girls when they came over.

She just loves her Papa.

They sat together this way for a really long time.

Then she started getting into stuff.

She looks so cute in amongst all of the Christmas stuff.

Jason keeping her entertained.

Awww, she's all tuckered out - needed a nap.

Jason cooked up a turkey today.

So we had turkey dinner for supper - it was sooooo good.

Jason got the lights all finished in the tree so he and Freya did the inaugural lighting.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
