Jason wanted to do a long run this morning (21k) so I drove him over to Alberton and dropped him off at the trail there.
He looked it up and it's 21k from here back to Tignish so the plan was for me to pick him up there later.
We saw a tractor parade on the way back to the vrbo.
All kinds of tractors just driving along on the side of the road.
I think a few years back Jason and I saw a tractor parade in this same spot - maybe its an annual thing?
We went back to Gerald's after and waited for Jason to make his way to Tignish.
Jen, Freya, Mom, my Aunt Betty and I all went over to visit my cousin Joan and her husband Derryl.
Derryl is going through cancer treatments currently and their son Travis got in a really bad car accident just a couple days ago so we wanted to take them cards and just let them know we were thinking of them.
Joan was actually gone to visit Travis at the hospital in Summerside but Derryl was home so we had a visit with him.
Jason finished his run so I picked him up then Chavonne took us to meet Randy's mother Bonnie who lives just outside of Tignish.
She would be Freya's Great Meme (grandmother).
Freya has met her before when they've come to visit in PEI but Jason and I never have.
My cousin Chavonne is friends with her so she took us over there.
I don't think she knew who Freya was at first but after she figured it out, she was so happy to see her.
She was a very nice lady and I think she was thrilled that we stopped by for a visit.
Freya was happy to see her too.
Bonnie is a dog breeder so we got to meet some of her dogs.
Freya also saw a porcelain doll that Bonnie had on her bed that she liked so Bonnie gave it to her.
It's a big one so Jen is going to bring it back with her later in the summer when she moves out to Alberta.
We went to dinner at Cousins Diner in Tignish.
Giving me the eye.
Jen came with us.
Me and my girl (she was pretending to be a grouch).
She didn't mean it.
We shared a bowl of seafood chowder that was delicious.
Then I had a scallop burger, also delicious.
Freya had a bowl of spaghetti.
Afterwards we stopped in and had a visit with my Aunt Arlene and Uncle Allan before heading back to the vrbo.
It was a long day and Freya fell asleep in the vehicle on the way back to our vrbo so Jason carried her in and she stayed sleeping on the couch for quite some time.
Meanwhile, back home, Haylee and Eden joined some of her family on a trip to a ranch in Saskatchewan.
Eden made friends with the farm dog.
Randy, Eden and Haylee enjoying a nice meal outdoors.
They went for a quad ride so Eden got outfitted with a helmet.
It was raining but the sun came out.
Aww, being bashful.
Petting a horse.
She wasn't shy or nervous at all.
Crystal and Rita.
Chilling with Auntie Zepplyn and cousin Emily.
Haylee and Eden.
Testing out the bouncy horse.
Nothing but nature for miles and miles.
Another of Eden and Mommy.
That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
