Jason did some research and found a spot with good reviews for us to go and have some breakfast.

Pur & Simple.
We had a hard time finding it - it was kind of in a mall but on the outside and the gps took us to an entrance on the other side of the mall so we were quite confused.
We ended up calling the restaurant to see if it actually existed - it did and they gave us instructions on how to find it.
We were glad that we didn't give up because it ended up being really good.

I like this sign they had up in the restaurant.
It was bright and airy inside - I liked the whole vibe.
Our sweet pretty girl.
My Honey.
Grandma & Freya selfie.
I ordered the French Toast Crisp
Panko breaded French toast, blueberries, raspberries, English cream, raspberry coulis, whipped cream and fresh mint • 3 slices | 21.25 • 2 slices | 18.75
It was amazingly delicious.
Jason had the Norwegian Benedict
2 poached eggs served on English muffin with choice of Hollandaise or spicy Hollandaise sauce and sprinkled with paprika. Served with our famous P&S potatoes, Smoked salmon, red onions, tomatoes and capers | 22.25
It was also delicious.
Freya ordered the Oh La La crepe
Strawberries, bananas, hazelnut chocolate and English cream | 18.75
As you can see she loved it.
She was even licking the plate.
The food was fantastic and we would definitely go out of our way to eat there again.
After breakfast we made a couple shopping stops and Freya tried on some sunglasses.
Then we hit the road for Mischouche.
It's hard to get pictures when you are driving but I just love the rolling hills of this part of the Island.
It is just so beautiful.
There are beautiful places all over Canada but my birthplace of PEI of course holds a special place in my heart.
It was an absolutely gorgeous day out too which always makes things just that much more scenic.
Our first stop was at Off the Wallz in Slemon Park which is an indoor playground.
I met my sister there - she picked up my cousins twin grand-daughters so they could have a play date with Freya.
Then two of her daughter-in-laws also came with their children which was nice - it was my first time meeting some of them.
This is Hazel - she was just born earlier in the year.
Freya just loved her.
She was pretty interested in Freya too.
Not so smiley but very inquisitive.
Then Danielle also came with her two boys.
This is Matthew - it was my first time meeting him as well - he'll be coming up to his first birthday soon.
Freya and Michael playing (Michael also belongs to Danielle and Jacob).
.

Freya, Matthew and one of the twins, Mia I believe.
The kids all played really well together even though it was there first time meeting so that was nice.
Jason and I just watching the kiddos play.
Michael.
Freya running down the slide.
We stopped play for a bit to have a snack break.
Danielle, Mia, Michael, Leah and Freya.
Jen helping Willow out with her snack.
This was my first time meeting Willow - she is a really open, friendly little girl - not shy at all.
There is the whole crew.
It was my first time meeting Kayla as well which is Hazel and Willow's mom.
Jason - the long day of travel yesterday and late night last night is catching up with him.
I have been looking forward to having some clam strips ever since we got here to the Island so decided to go to Summerside to get some.
Jennifer took the girls home then was going to come meet us (Freya went with her).
So while we waited, we hit up Sunny's Dairy Bar.
This is such a nostalgic thing for me - going to a dairy bar for ice cream in PEI.
The had orange soft serve so I just had to try it even though I initially had wanted hard ice cream.
There it is.
It was ok - I would have liked it to be more orangey but it was ok.
We walked along the boardwalk in Summerside while we ate - the ice cream was melting so fast it was hard to keep up.
It was windy and a warm wind - I think that's why the ice cream was melting so fast.
It's so pretty here - I just love it.
We found a spot to get some seafood - Hoss's Fish & Chips.
It's strictly a takeout place but that was fine with us.
They had a giant menu.
I loved the decor in there too.
I ordered clam strips, bar clams, fries with the works and popcorn chicken for Freya and we took it to my Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Coleen's to eat.
It was my first time being to their new house.
A relative was there who was highly allergic to seafood - she left to go get ice cream while we ate but we decided to eat outside anyway just so the smell wouldn't be in the house.
My sissy and I.
Freya.
The Clam Strips were so good - I'll probably have them again before I leave the island.
After we ate, we had a visit with Jimmy & Coleen, it was so nice to see them.
There was a Sunny's Dairy Bar right by their house so we walked over there to get more ice cream.
It only took a couple minutes to walk over but Freya and Jason stopped to do a little photo session.
Freya got a banana split.
They had a couple of big giant chairs there so Freya tested them out.
There was a mini dairy bar playhouse for the kids too - that was cute.
There were some mini chairs there too so we thought it would be funny if Jason and I sat in those and Freya took our picture.
She got us to smile, took the picture then showed us and this was the picture.
Little bugger took a selfie.
She thought that was pretty funny (it was).
Then she really did take the picture.
After that, we headed to our VRBO that Jason had rented for us.
It is on the West side of the Island which is near our property that we bought.
Not an area I've ever been too much but I was looking forward to checking it out.
It was evening when we arrived - this is the place we are staying in.
It looks gorgeous.
The couple that own it met us there and went through the whole place with us - very thorough.
They were very friendly.
The lady was originally from PEI but worked out in Calgary, Alberta for the Oil & Gas industry for years - it's where they met, he is from out in Alberta.
When they retired, they decided to move back to PEI.
They left us some local snacks - there was even a block of ADL cheese in the fridge.
It was right beside Glenwood Pond so I like how they named it - a spoof of On Golden Pond.
I love the house - I went around and took some pictures.
This is the kitchen - it is huge.
The dining room which was just off the kitchen - I love that it has a couch in there - what a great place to hang out.
The living room - it was nicely decorated and comfortable.
Upstairs.
A little office area at the top of the stairs.
The master bedroom - there was a door to the left which you can't see in the picture but it led out to a small balcony that looked over the water.
The master bedroom.
The master ensuite.
I love the tub!
It had a shower too.
One of the bedrooms.
I love the bedding.
It also had an ensuite bathroom.
The final bedroom had two beds.
It also had it's own ensuite with another clawfoot tub.
The whole house was wonderful.
Normally I would stay with family when I came to the island but it will be nice to have our own space.
That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
