We decided to take the girls to Whitecourt to go swimming just so we could spend some quality time with them before we head out on vacation on Friday.
The pool in Whitecourt ended up being closed.
It's been closed for the month for cleaning.
Luckily it was a gorgeous day out there (it was 27C) and I had the tubes in the car along with some beach toys so we went to Rotary Park instead.
I think lots of people had spent the day there and were leaving when we arrived so I think we missed the business and it was perfect.
(We actually met Rita, Kim, Riel, Zepplyn, Eric and Emily all on their way out, they had been there all afternoon.
Eden made some friends in the sand box area.
She is not shy at all about joining right in and will talk to pretty much anyone.
Freya and Jason went down the slides several times, they even took Eden a few times and she really liked it.
It was so nice that I sat in the bottom, in the water to cool off.
It was wonderful.
The girls came and were playing - I love hearing their giggles.
What a fine summer day this turned out to be.
We likely don't have many left so it was nice to really soak it in.
After the slides, the girls wanted to go to the park for a bit.
I pushed them on the squeaky swing for a while.
Then we got ice creams.
She got pink with sprinkles, just what she wanted.
Sweet Freya.
She wanted chocolate and that's what she got.
Doing some last playing before getting in the car.
We were going to go out for supper but it was already close to 9 so instead we stopped at Walmart for the few things we needed and Freya requested Sour Cream & Onion chips and Heluva Good Dip for her supper.
We also made a quick stop at A&W and got chicken tenders for Eden.
Jason and I each had a chubby chicken sandwich and it was freshly made and really, really good.
On the way home, we made a quick stop at Crystal's because she had a birthday gift for Freya.
She's been away and she's going away again tomorrow so this was kind of the only time she could do it.
Freya opening her birthday present from Grandma Crystal.
My fitbit ran out of charge early this morning and I forgot to charge it up so no total for today.
Not making much progress but down a few since I started Ozempic.
I have one more dose at .5mg then next week I'll bump up to .75mg and I'm hoping I see a difference then.
I went for a walk on my lunch hour then I picked up a beef steak tomato, cucumber, sliced turkey deli meat and some hummus to have for lunch.
I loaded the tomato up with salt and it was very tasty - filling too.
I started a new book today, The Road to Tender Hearts.
I had my phsyio appointment in Whitecourt after work today and I listened to it the whole drive there, all through the appointment while I did my exercises then all the way home as well.
I think I'm really going to like this one.
The girls were at the house with Jason when I got home.
Guess she wasn't in the mood for pictures!
She actually came and sat with me and snuggled me for a bit.
She wanted Papa to give her a tattoo, she wanted a skin walker then she wanted Papa, Grandma, Freya, Eden, Daddy, Mommy, Auntie, Grandma Crystal.
She was just naming off names so Jason drew a bunch of stick figures for her.
Then she wanted a police man on her other leg to get the skin walker.
She gave Papa a tattoo as well.
Then she just had some Papa snuggles.
Freya had some noodles - still her favorite.
Then she was watching some videos while Jason made her a meat/cheese platter.
I couldn't decide which picture of Eden I liked most.
So I included both.
It was around 9 when Kody picked up the girls.
Then we just watched some Wisconsin videos in preparation for our trip later this week before calling it a night.
My fitbit battery died and I kept forgetting to charge it back up so no step total for today.
