Quiet Boxing Day (Dec.26, 2024)

I just had a quiet day today.

Freya spent the day with me, we just hung out and watched shows.

I did have to go down to the office to work on payroll for a couple of hours.

I brought Freya with me because nobody else was there anyway.

While I worked, she created some art for my office, even hung it up herself.

Jason and I only exchanged gifts last night when he got home from work.

He got me a trip to Florida leaving on Feb.26.

I got him a trip to Phoenix and tickets to see a singer that he likes, Gregory Alan Isakov in Tucson while we are there.

So that's two trips to look forward to already next year.

Can't wait.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

Christmas Day (Dec.25, 2024)

I got up early - Jason had to head to work so I made a coffee and watched the rest of It's a Wonderful Life.

When the movie was done, I went down and got all the 'stocking's together for everyone and brought them upstairs.

Next I peeled the veggies for supper, potatoes, carrots and turnip.

Jason already cooked the ham and turkey so I just have to put it back in the oven about an hour before supper to warm it up.

It was near lunch time when everyone started arriving.
Morgan, Kalem and Whitney arrived first.

I love Whitney's boots and her bow.

Morgan made us a treat tray.

So many goodies.

Rob showed up next and then Kody, Haylee and the girls weren't much later.

Whitney was loving the wrapping paper.

Freya was excited about the Stitch puppet we got her.

Kody and Haylee

Eden was dragging Snoopy around.

She likes pressing the button and making him sing.

Opening presents Christmas morning.

Everyone stayed for a couple hours and opened all their gifts.
I think everyone was happy with what they got or at least I hope they were.

Morgan and Kalem were heading to Whitecourt to do Christmas dinner with his mom and Rob, Kody, Haylee and Eden all took their gifts home.
They'll come back later for supper.

Freya stayed with me and she wanted to do my make up.
This is how it ended up.

Everyone came back for supper around 5ish.
Eden was dressed up in her Christmas finest.

Little dancer.

Then it was time for supper.

Rob, Eden and Haylee.

Eden, Haylee, Freya and Kody.

Kody and Freya.

I invited Crystal, Randy and Zepplyn too.

Zepplyn wasn't feeling good so she didn't eat.

Had to get a selfie to prove I was there too.

One more just for good measure.

Freya wasn't that interested in eating, but Eden was chowing down.

Eden was loving the ham.

She tried beets for the firs time and she loved them.

She's such a little goofball.

After supper, we had a couple games of drawful.
Jason got home in time to have a game with us.

My sweetie stayed the night with me after everyone else went home.

The girls all got matching pj's for Christmas.

Jason put some lanterns on the tree and it looked so pretty.

Haylee took a cute picture of Eden sitting in front of the fireplace.

Such a big smile.

Eden and Freya.

Alivia posted some pictures - she had one of Hunter.
I really missed them this Christmas.

She also posted one of herself.
She's growing up so much.

I saw this key holder online and I want it!

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

Christmas Eve is Here (Dec.24, 2024)

 It's Christmas Eve.

Morgan posted the cutest picture of Whitney in front of their Christmas tree.

Out baby Paddington just enjoying the new chair.

He looks so cozy.

I spent the morning making a sign for Randy to give to Haylee for Christmas.
I bought glitter vinyl to make it with and I really struggled with cutting the vinyl but eventually  managed to get it done.

I wanted to get it to him but just missed them - they went to Barrhead for the evening.
Kody, Haylee and the girls went as well - they always spend Christmas Eve at Rita's.

Next up was meat pies - I made 6 and called it good.
I figure as long as we have some for Christmas morning then that will be enough.

In the evening, Rob came over to hang out with Jason and I and we watched a movie together.

Red One
It was a cute movie.

After Rob went home, I put on It's a Wonderful Life for Jason and I to watch.
We didn't make it all the way through - too tired and Jason is back to work tomorrow.

So we went ahead and went to bed and I'll watch the rest in the morning.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

Last Minute Shopping Trip (Dec.23, 2024)

I had a few last minute things I needed to pick up so Jason and I made a trip into the city to get that done today.

We went into St Albert and I dropped Jason off by the mall so he could go for a run, then I went and picked up a few things that I needed.

I saw the most darling little chair at Homesense and I picked it up for Eden for Christmas.

I met Jason back at the mall and we did a bit of shopping together there then we went out for some supper.
Jason found a spot we'd never eaten at in St Albert and hid had good reviews so we checked it out.
The Hot Spot.

I had the Ginger Beef bowl.

Jason had the Sri Lankan Curry.

The food was really great and so was the service - the owners are actually Sri Lankan - Jason has Sri Lankan heritage so that's kind of neat.

For dessert we stopped over at Crumbl Cookie.

They seem to have a lot mor cookie options than usual - we got 4 to try.
Chocolate Chip Pecan
Hot Chocolate
Chocolate Peppermint and Peanut Butter.

We made one more stop at Walmart before heading home and we picked up a couple things for Kody.
A blue pot he wanted to get for Haylee.

And a Stitch stuffie.

When we got home I wrapped up the presents that I'd picked up today.
So the only thing I have left to do for Christmas now is to make some meat pies.
That I will do tomorrow.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

House Tour, Snowmen and Sledding (Dec.22, 2024)

We cleaned everything last night before we went to bed and it nice to wake up to a clean and tidy house so I thought it would be a great opportunity to take pictures of my decorations this year.

I won't caption them because I think they are pretty self explanatory.

I never did get my new curtains.

Freya requested bacon for breakfast.

We had some leftover so Jason cooked it up for breakfast.
I love bacon too - it was GOOD.

It ended up being a really nice day today.

While I finished wrapping up the rest of the presents, Freya and Jason went outside and built a snowman.

Then they came and got me and we went for a walk.

Jason took her sledding and I was supposed to meet them but they were already leaving by the time I got there.
They only went down twice and she had a bit of a wipe out so she was done.
The wind had picked up and it had gotten quite a bit colder.

We had a tiny visitor again when we got back home.

Jason cooked us pizza for supper with the leftover vodka sauce.
He made pizza monkey bread last night which was really good and he had made the vodka sauce to dip it into.

That is all for today, until next time, be happy!
