Off to Nova Scotia (Aug.14, 2025)

Looks like Ivy dropped by to see Freya during the night.

She got into the sugar and her footprints are every where.

I worked today then when I got off, I packed and we headed into the city.
We did a few things then checked into the hotel room Freya and Jason are staying in for the night.
We just hung out there until it was time to take me the airport.

Today is Haylee's birthday so Kody took her to the city for dinner, they had Eden with them.
They dropped by a quick visit.

I had to be to the airport for 10 pm so Eden and Jason dropped me off.

Freya made a little set up for Ivy in case she comes to visit.

My flight left at midnight.
I'll get in to Halifax at 6 am and my sister will come pick me up.
Hopefully I'll be able to sleep a bit on the plane.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

New Hair (Aug.13, 2025)

Mel posted some pictures of she and the kids at the lake.

Jason started days off today so Freya had a sleepover last night.
While I was at work today, Jason and Freya worked on building a fairy house for Ivy.

She had all the goodies out to decorate it up.

I hopped on the treadmill again on my lunch hour.
I didn't quite get to 5k because I had a meeting to get back to but I got close.

I was still pretty sweaty when I finished up.

Jason and Freya made a cake.

Jason also made thin crust pizza for supper.
It was so delicious.

Then it time to get this grey covered up.

Jason put the dye in for me.
It takes about 3 boxes to do my hair.

Grey is all gone now I'm ready for my trip.
I'm heading to PEI tomorrow night by myself for a quick weekend trip.

Freya made this little guy with some latex gloves.
She is so creative and has such a great imagination.

She fills our lives with so much joy and I feel so blessed to be her Grandma.
I know Jason feels the same way (but to be her Papa of course).

He is taking her to the city tomorrow when he takes me in to drop me off at the airport and he has some fun activities planned for them.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

Home Redecorating Plans.(Aug.12, 2025)

It's been busy at work lately - I'm feeling a little behind and like I can't catch up.
I keep trying though!

The four day weeks in the summer are nice but it does make a difference.

I hopped on the treadmill on my lunch hour and ran 5k.

I'm always a sweaty mess when I finish but that makes me feel like I'm having a good work out.
I've been watching a home decor show - Down Home Fab.
I like their style.

I've been thinking about doing some projects in the house this fall - I used to be really into it and I kind of fell away from it but now I'm getting into it again.
I also want to decorate Freya's room.
Haylee moved her and Eden into the bigger room in their place together and she & Kody moved into the room that I had decorated for Freya previously.

I want to buy her some new furniture and I'd like to do bead board too so the renovation is going to cost me a few bucks.
I'm looking around for stuff and I'll pick up things here and there then in the fall, I'll get started.

I picked the girls up on my way home from work - Haylee and Kody were both working.

Eden is developing such a funny little personality.

I picked up a drawing tutorial book at the second hand store for Freya on the weekend and she used it to draw a picture for her fairy friend 'Ivy'.
She did a fantastic job!
She is so creative.

I found an area rug I think I'm going to order for Freya's room.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

Weigh In Day (Aug.11, 2025)

Weigh in day today.

I was 229.8 lbs.
Not good at all.

That's up 2.6 lbs from last week.
Definitely going the wrong way - I need to get my shit together.

I hopped on the treadmill on my lunch hour and did a 5k run.

It felt a bit tough today maybe due to the longer run yesterday but I got it done.

I had started this puzzle yesterday and I finished it up today after work.
It was a tough one.

The kids came over to visit.
Eden is super into Baby Shark right now, she's even trying to do all the actions.

I found this drawing tutorial book at the second hand store for Freya - I just remembered about it today and gave it to her.
She liked it.

We took the girls up to the park to play for a while before we took them home.

Eden loves running around and following her big sister.

Freya was coming up with all her little scenarios for us to play out as usual.
She has such a great imagination.

There was a random goal net by the park and Eden just wanted to sit in it and for me to sit in there with her.

The movers came in and packed up my sisters house today.
They are heading to PEI with their dad for a few days and the movers will be coming to my sisters to move everything on Wednesday.

Then next week after our trip to PEI, she'll be heading out here.
I am so excited that she is going to be living nearby.

That is all for today, until next time, be happy.

Longer Run - 8k (Aug.10, 2025)

I stayed up super late last night working on a puzzle last night but I was still up early this morning.

This was the puzzle I did.

It was a 500 piece that I picked up at the second hand store.

It was tough but fun.

I was planning on doing a longer outdoor run this morning but it was dreary and windy out so I decided to just hop on the treadmill.

I put on an episode of Dateline and got running.
I ran 8k - I didn't go super fast, mainly 4.1 - 4.2 but I did do some of it at 4.3 & 4.4.

I was soaked when I finished but felt great about myself.

Jason bbq'd some pork up for us at work for meals this week.

I made eggs and sausage for breakfast.

I also had fruits and veggies.

Professor Snuggles sat on the arm of my couch the whole time I ate and watched me.

I didn't do much today, I had planned on blogging because I'm so behind but I just couldn't make myself do it.
I am so far behind and the further behind I get, the harder it is to get back to it.

I ended up starting another puzzle - a 750 piece one.
I thought it would be a quick one but I pretty much worked on it for the rest of the day.

Nadine did drop by for a short visit but other than that, it was a really quiet day.

When Jason got home, he cooked us up some pizza for supper.

I've also been having a hard time sticking to weight watchers.
My weight it creeping up and up and up.
I hate it but I just can't seem to make myself do anything about it.

I'm not giving up though - I know I can do it - I just have to get into the right mindset.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

Snuggles and Puzzles (Aug.9, 2025)

Miss Freya ended up having a sleep over last night.

Freya and Eden enjoying some morning snuggles.

She arranged the bunny and troll like this so they could be comfortable and have a nap.

It was a chill day - I should have been working on my blog but instead I did some puzzles.
This Nutcracker one was fun.

Then this 500 piece Springbok one that had all these spoofs on food brands was fun too.

I love these kinds that are really busy like this and have all these details.
They are my favorite kind of puzzle to do.

Making puzzles kind of ate up most of my day.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

Ikea Trip (Aug.8, 2025)

I made a trip to the city today to do some shopping and I made a stop at Ikea.

I want to do the girls room over so I was looking to see what they had for furniture.

I was looking at options for cleaning up the toys in the basement.

They have several options.

I think I'll end up going with this one but I'm not sure.

I saw this kids kitchen that I thought the girls might like.

They had some beds I thought would work for the girls.

They share a room so I want to get single beds for them.

I like that this one has storage.

This was my favorite because it has a trundle bed that you can pull out.

It comes in a bright yellow color too which I kind of love (It's the yellow that you can see in behind on the wall).

I even love the bedding on this one - the pattern is so fun.
They have cushions.

They also have the duvet covers for just $49.99.

And it's only $449.00 which I think is pretty reasonable.

I've been wanting to get new dressers for Jason and I for a few years now but I can't decide on one.

There were a few options there today that I think might work.

Maybe two of these side by side - one for him and one for me?
I do like the color.
I was thinking white before but now I've changed my mind and think I'd like to go with wood.

I came across this duvet cover and kind of fell in love with it.

I love the pattern.
I texted Jason to see if he liked it too and he did so I ended up buying it for our room,
I also got a set of sage green pillow cases to go with it.

These were some of the other options I sent him that I also liked.

Another pattern similar to the one I ended up going with.

I had a look at the blinds - I'd like to get some especially for my living room but I have no idea what size I need.

I perused the light fixtures too because I'd like something new for my dining room.

There were a few options I thought were ok but nothing really blew my mind.
I'll just have to keep looking.

There were a lot of things there that I did really like though.
I could make quite a dent on my pocket book if I was let loose in there and just bought every single thing I liked and wanted.

I headed back to Swan Hills and I got a little visitor when I got home.

I worked on another puzzle - it was one I picked up from the second hand store and it had a few pieces missing but it was still fun to do.

This is Paddington's spot when the door is open.
He loves laying there especially when the sun is shining.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
